Julie Bloomfield, MA, LPC — Health Coach
Julie is a Health Educator/Coach with the It’s Your Life program. Julie received her Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College. Julie has 24 years of experience in the education field, including 18 years providing counseling services. She has been teaching a Stress Management course at Jackson College for nine years and has a passion for wellness. Julie is an avid, competitive runner and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and reading.
Sarah Doll, RD, CDE — Health Coach
Sarah is a Registered Dietitian and Health Educator with the It’s Your Life program. She has a degree in Dietetics from Michigan State University. Sarah has been at Henry Ford Allegiance Health since 2006 and has more than 10 years of experience in nutrition counseling and weight management. Sarah is also involved in developing and teaching wellness and prevention programs to support a healthier community.
Leslie Downs, BS — Health Coach
Leslie has been a Health Educator/Coach for the It’s Your Life program since 2001. She has a degree in Exercise Science from Central Michigan University. Leslie has been at Henry Ford Allegiance Health since 1996, working first in the Wellness Center as an exercise specialist. Leslie’s experience helps her to guide people into making lifestyle changes or developing self-management skills. In addition to coaching her participants, Leslie is also involved in teaching the PATH workshop, coaching other community groups and is an active volunteer for many Jackson-area community events.
Ellen Gillespie, RD — Health Coach
Ellen is a Registered Dietitian and a Health Educator/Coach for the It’s Your Life program at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Michigan State University and completed her dietetic internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Ellen has 25 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian. She has also been certified as a Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise since 2000. Ellen became a Certified Health & Wellness Coach through Wellcoaches in 2013. Along with her passion for teaching health and wellness, Ellen enjoys cooking, strength training and running. She has run several marathons including her first Boston Marathon in 2012.
Emily Kennedy, MPH — Wellness Technician
Emily is a Wellness Technician for the It’s Your Life program. She has a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan. She has been with Henry Ford Allegiance Health since June 2016. Emily has a strong interest in worksite wellness and believes it’s a great place to start changing health behaviors. In addition to being a Wellness Technician she enjoys reading, running, biking and attending a variety of her kids’ sports!
Keila Kilgore, MA, LPC — Health Coach
Keila is a Health Educator for the It’s Your Life program. She earned; her teaching degree from Western Michigan University and a Masters degree in Community Agency Counseling with a K-12 Guidance and Counseling Endorsement from Siena Heights University. Keila has over 23years of experience working with individuals of all ages in behavioral health and education and joined our Henry Ford Allegiance Health team in January 2013. Keila also enjoys spending time with her two children and husband, being outdoors, watching her children’s sporting events and taking photos.
Mike Lackman, RD — Health Coach
Mike is a Health Educator/Registered Dietitian for the It’s Your Life program. He has a degree in Dietetics/Nutrition, Fitness and Health from Purdue University. He is also an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Health Fitness Specialist. Mike has been with Henry Ford Allegiance Health since April 2004 and has 12 years of experience in health promotion. In addition to being a Health Educator, Mike also enjoys running and lifting weights.
Carol Zawacki, RN, LMSW, TTS — Health Coach, Tobacco Treatment Specialist
Carol is a Health Educator for the It’s Your Life program. She has a degree in nursing from Jackson Community College, a Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan and is a certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist. Carol has been with Henry Ford Allegiance Health since May of 2008 and has over 26 years of experience in the field of behavioral health services. In addition to coaching the Henry Ford Allegiance Health staff Carol has a special interest in providing tobacco treatment services to our Jackson Community. Carol also enjoys travel, adventure and relaxation with family and friends.
Theresa McIntyre, MA — Health Management Coordinator
Theresa is the Health Management Coordinator for the It’s Your Life program. She has a master’s degree in Health Education from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University. Theresa has been at Henry Ford Allegiance Health since June 2008 and has over 20 years of experience in worksite health. In addition to coordinating the It’s Your Life program, Theresa is also involved in active hobbies such as tennis and kayaking.
Jennifer Camburn, BS, TTS — Wellness Supervisor
Jennifer is the Wellness Supervisor for the Henry Ford Allegiance Health department of Prevention & Community Health, working closely with the It’s Your Life health coaches and monitoring the day to day activity at IYL. She has been with Henry Ford Allegiance Health a total of 16 years, 10 of those associated with Prevention & Community Health and IYL. Jennifer has 18 years of experience supporting and facilitating behavior change. She has a degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Eastern Michigan University as well as certification from the Mayo Clinic in Tobacco Treatment. Jennifer has two teenagers approaching their college years and enjoys attending their various musical performances. She also loves to cook and read.
Margaret Brown, MPH, RN — Manager
Margaret began her journey in health care in 2006. Since then she has worked in a variety of health care roles including at the bedside as a Registered Nurse, as a Case Manager, and as a Physician Quality Coordinator. Her passion for community and public health related issues led her to pursue graduate study at Michigan State University where she received a Master’s in Public Health with a focus in Administration. As the Manager of Prevention & Community Health and Care Coordination, Margaret is able to fuse her love of nursing with the expanding field of public health. She works with various stakeholders to move towards the delivery of coordinated care services for the Jackson Community across various stages of the health continuum. In her spare time, Margaret loves to sing, shop, spend time with her husband and play in the sun with her dog Basil.
